The Challenge
Soho was challenged to plan the return of the annual fundraiser for Union Settlement. It signified a newly invigorated focus to celebrate the vibrancy of East Harlem and the ongoing work of Union Settlement as they create opportunity in East Harlem by offering vital education, wellness, and community-building programs that help underserved residents improve their skills and build better lives for themselves and their families.
The SOLUTION
Soho developed a creative platform and execution strategy for Union Settlement’s annual gala, which gave them an evergreen theme – Heart & Soul of East Harlem…cultural focus on art, music and community – that can be leveraged throughout the year to reinforce and expand Union Settlement’s brand.
By designing a unique, one-of-a-kind experience that encouraged donation, fostered connection, and left a positive lasting impression on attendees, Union Settlement was back – big time, from the COVID-driven hiatus of in-person events.
But perhaps even more importantly for Union Settlement, Soho executed an event that effectively brought together more than 231 people for a fundraiser that allowed attendees to celebrate, learn, and donate while promoting and telling the story of Union Settlement and its rich history with the East Harlem community.
